There are sevaral books available in the market now-a-days which are helful, however they are just repeatation of the same animation principles which you can find in classical animation books from the era who bought animation in our life. They are either out of production or only already famous ones are available. The price you invest for these books is definitely worth it. After all animation principles cannot be taught technically, they can only be obsevered, learned by practice till you get it right, and then expressed. Only tools can be taught technically. These books are almost considered as the bible for animation students and veterant animators:
* Animation 1st edition ---- Preston Blair (orignal which was later changed a bit due to legal problems with disney I guess, however 2nd edition has retained his teachings).

* Cartoon Animation series ---- Preston Blair

* Timing for Animation ---- by Harold Whitaker and John Halas

*The Animator's Workbook ---- by Tony White

* The Animator's Survival Kit ----by Richard Williams

* The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation ---- by Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston (Contributor), Cllie Johnston

* Acting for Animators --- by Ed Hooks, Brad Bird, Mike Caputo (Illustrator)

* Animation from Script to Screen --- by Shamus Culhane
These are more than suffice to get you started.
